Living out something I prayed for
96 ornaments! NINETY-SIX ornaments y’all!!!!! That is how many I made this year! I am so #ThankfulGratefulBlessed that I can’t even stand it. THIS is such a dream come true!
I remember sitting in my cubicle 4 years ago and texting my sisters “Is this all there is to life? I just sit in this desk counting down the minutes until 5:00 and counting down the days until the weekend?” I worked way less hard than I do now, but I was depressed and didn’t even know it. I was longing for something more. So happy in my personal life, but so unfulfilled with my work. I felt like I was faking it and just going through the motions.
When I woke up and realized I can do what I want and decided to start Noteworthy, THIS is what I envisioned. I didn’t have kids yet, but I knew that I wanted them. And I had this vision of being able to work on my own terms while being a mom. I’m so thankful that this dream is coming true.
I took this photo yesterday when Gus woke up early from a short nap, and I wasn’t quite done packing my final boxes that needed shipping. I was determined to get them sent out, so I plopped him in the highchair with a cracker and finished taping up the boxes as he clapped for me 😂
Every day is a new adventure of balancing all the hats I wear. I work on my art and my business during naps, after bedtime, when I’m sitting in car line, and sometimes with a child on my lap— but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is exactly where I want to be.
I was determined to create a life that I loved in all aspects and live my life on purpose. I am just getting started- I have big dreams and ideas for the future BUT right now I am living out something I prayed for.
